Monthly Macroeconomic Overviews

Our latest Monthly Macroeconomic Overview for Bangladesh paints a picture with contrasting colors. While inflation rose in February, driven by spiking non-food item prices, the report also reveals positive developments that signal resilience and growth in key sectors. Despite inflationary pressures, Bangladesh's export sector is experiencing a boom. February saw a record-breaking $5.18 billion in exports, marking a 12% year-over-year increase. Another positive note comes from remittance inflows from Bangladeshi migrant workers.
